What is DIMA?
DIMA (DIMensioning Analysis) is practicable for the calculation of rolling stock main dimensions, that means predefinition of length, width and height of vehicle bodies and running gears using conventional German and European standards.
DIMA allows following analysis:
- Calculation of rolling stock construction gauge, typical articulated train sets (types of modules) and vehicles with active tilting system
- Calculation of pantograph construction gauge
- Calculation of bogie clearance
- Analysis of rolling stock end geometry and clearance relative to the coupling
- Analysis of buffer geometry
DIMA includes following additional functionality:
- Databases for vehicle bodies, running gears, tilting system, roll centres and rolling stock flexibility coefficients as well as reference profiles
- Creation of own reference profiles
- DXF- (defined cross sections of vehicle constrution gauge) and STEP-Export (complete 3D model of vehicle construction gauge) to CAD
- Grafical screen display for detailed data scanning inclusive BMP- and WMF-export
- Report for printing or exporting into the MS-Word-compatible RTF-format compliant to German Federal Railway Authority
DIMA uses following standards and regulations as base:
